Those were the days...
Don't say that I've been boring and not post plenty of pictures..cuz in this entry, I am going to post them all! I thought of looking through some old photos .. you know, good memories last a long time and I think it's ideal if we can put all our photos from the first one in an album, how's that? Anyway....so here goes:  My 19th Birthday....and I'll always remember Aileen telling me her plan of "imagine after sing song we smash your face into the candles then everyone panick."   The first ever Sentosa outing for us and then another one...(I think it was maybe 2 years back)   The dream move....and our dream was smashed when someone threw in the towel...(and look at those humorous faces!)   With Lynn.....and till now our lunch is not set! / with everyone else..  Celebrating Iffa's and Faz's birthday...with the choc cake and flour and eggs...   Glitz 2007 when were hoping to get into the nominee list for TOTY and Mac's after Glitz.  One of the first few friendlies with JJC during our first camp...   On my 19th...the nice and not so nice faces and you know I've never posted about this girl...  Faridah!! HAHAHAH caught candid. At least Iffa and I had a nice smile ahha and I've no idea what's Yi Wen celebrating..or hoping for...   Iffa at the setting up of our soccer booth at the first SLA event and our first ever pol-ite (God knows after which match it was) Iffa, I hope you come back next Wednesday in your attire and I miss you! So many things, so little time
You know how irritating and frustrating it can be when you are just so caught up at work and do not even have time to take a break, relax or read a magazine? That's what I face sometimes at work. There's not much you can really complain about because that's working life, that's reality. Not to say that I am slacking away from work right now as I type but I am just squeezing in some time. It does get tiring at a point of time and you do feel like walking out that door and vow never to return. But when you have great colleagues and friends, that is all that matters. I have enjoyed and not enjoyed my work. When there's time to enjoy, you enjoy, when there's time to really get down to business, you do. It's been 29 days since the beginning of 2009 and I am still working on my resolutions except for not applying for NAFA because I've yet to decide what I really want to do. I have not exactly draw up plans just yet. I always say, I have much more to say but you know, I haven't say it (till now)and yes, I (still) have plenty to say but I have my doubts on whether I should share it here or not...I'll leave it to another time. As for now, Happy New Year and Gong Xi Fa Cai to all Chinese out there! Always be prepared, Marj

The day in history
Barack Obama, the 44th President of the United States of America and the first african-american president to be sworned in. I was looking out for his inauguration speech, flipping main channels that I thought could most probably show but never seemed to appear in those channels. I slept the night away and watched some part of it the following morning via CNN.com'live'. There isn't anyway I could really just keep that page on because of work but nonetheless, audio was good enough. Even better, was reading the entire 2,403 word long inauguration speech via various websites. Details is always good, especially when it's about the world's leader's newly elected President. I'm very positive and confident about Mr Obama being the new President. He promised many things and indeed, "America, we can." He promised new jobs to be created, the poor to become rich, the flourish and enrich the villagers' poor farms and keep the country as safe as he can. I am sure that 95% of the Americans or maybe, all, would be most glad to have their fathers, sons and brothers and uncles or even mothers, sisters and aunts be returning home from Iraq. Plenty of lives have been lost, both innocent and those who sacrificed their lives for the country on the frontline. It's time, for Iraq and Afghanistan to have their hard-earned peace. There were people/professors who doubt Mr Obama's speech as it wasn't as as good as the speech he gave during the race to Presidency. But nevermind that, like what one of them said - "What matters now is action". My favorite part of the speech - "Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America." I hope for a better America which would also do good for nations alike worldwide. It's really good to be reading about politics and what the world leader has in plan for his nation and for the world. For the first time, I'm reading everything about what plans Obama has for the United States and how the world is going to change and I'm looking forward to all that. Yes, America can, they can. Winning v Losing
You know in a game, there are always 2 sides to it - winning and losing. But you know when you win, you shouldn't act like you're a sore winner. I don't know how to put it but you know, that kind of like uninteresting act of being a winner. Or should I say disgusting arrogance of winners? Just some thoughts.. O well just when the 5 day week is coming to a close...it's not! Good thing that I do not have to wake up early on Monday! Hooray for the looooong weekends! Always be prepared, Marj

Team Serbian
 After months of rumors, the young Serbs are finally signed! They're a double source of great talent and no doubt, they would be good for United in the future. I cannot wait to see them in action, be it in reserves or even better, the first team, in the red devils jersey. I present to you Adem Ljajic, 17 years and Zoran Tosic, 21 years, officially a Manchester United player.
